How much space do you need around it?

Measure from the table edge to the wall, cupboard or next piece of furniture. Use around 90 cm clearance all around as an initial layout, then test with your own chairs. For a diameter of 120 cm, that is 120 + 90 + 90 = 300 cm in both directions. This is a worked example, not a guarantee that every layout fits a 300 × 300 cm room.

Does someone need to pass behind an occupied chair, or is there a door or drawer beside the table? Allow extra space. Mark a 120 cm circle on the floor with paper or tape, position the chairs and walk the routes to the kitchen and living room.

Round 100 cm, 120 cm or a larger table?
