How Does a Round Extendable Dining Table Work?
There are two popular mechanisms for round extendable dining tables:
Drop-leaf system
With a drop-leaf round table, there are one or two extra leaf sections that fold up at the sides. In the basic position, these are folded down; when you need more space, you fold them up and the table becomes larger. Simple system, very reliable.
Central extension leaf
With this system, you slide the two round halves apart and insert one or more extension leaves in the middle. The table then goes from round to oval. This system offers greater expansion possibilities.
