What is Fenix NTM?

Fenix NTM (Nano Tech Matt) is a composite surface material developed by the Italian company Arpa Industriale. It is a high-pressure laminate to which nano-technological resins have been added, giving the material its unique properties. Fenix was developed for use in premium kitchens and furniture where both aesthetics and functionality are of utmost importance.

Fenix is used in exclusive kitchen and furniture brands worldwide — not as a cheap alternative, but as a premium choice on its own merits. The material feels velvety soft, has an absolutely matte appearance, and is technically superior to most other surfaces.

Advantages of a Fenix Dining Table

Thermally Repairable Scratches

This is Fenix's most remarkable property: small scratches can be repaired with an iron. The nanoresins in the material "melt" when heated and restore the molecular structure of the surface. After treatment, the scratch appears to have vanished — it truly works. This makes Fenix the most repairable premium surface material for dining tables.

Anti-Fingerprint

Fenix's matte, nano-surface is fingerprint-free. This may sound like a detail, but anyone with a glossy tabletop will confirm how big the difference is. A Fenix dining table always looks neat, even without constant cleaning.

Scratch-Resistant

Fenix has high scratch resistance thanks to its hard top layer of nanoresins. Significantly more robust than lacquered wood or standard HPL. And should minor scratches occur: see the previous point.

Heat-Resistant

Fenix is heat-resistant up to approximately 180-200°C with direct contact. This means a hot stew can be placed directly on the table — something that would be catastrophic for lacquered wood. Always use a coaster for convenience, but for accidents, Fenix is the most forgiving material.

Hygienic

The closed, non-porous surface of Fenix prevents bacteria or fungi from penetrating. Ideal for a dining table where meals are eaten, work is done, and life is lived daily.

Available Fenix Colors

Fenix is available in a wide range of matte colors. Popular choices for dining tables include:

  • Fenix Nero Ingo (Matte Black) — the popular choice. Deep, elegant, timeless.
  • Fenix Bianco Kos (Matte White) — pure, bright, clean. Perfect for a minimalist or Scandinavian interior.
  • Fenix Grigio Bromo (Medium Grey) — neutral, sophisticated, combines with everything.
  • Fenix Verde Comodoro (Deep Green) — a contemporary color choice for the daring.
  • Fenix Beige Caserta (Warm Beige) — natural, warm, pleasant to use.
  • Fenix Grigio Efeso (Anthracite) — dark grey, robust, extremely versatile.
  • Fenix Azzurro Naxos (Light Blue) — fresh and striking, popular choice for an accent table.

The full Fenix color palette of over 60 colors is available on request. Do you want a color you don't see here? Contact us for options.

Shapes: Rectangular, Oval, Danish Oval

At Industrial Home, we create Fenix dining tables in any desired shape:

  • Rectangular — the classic choice for 4-10+ people. Sleek, timeless, functional.
  • Oval — combines the length of a rectangle with the softness of a circle. Elegant and practical.
  • Danish oval — flattened ends for extra seating at the extremities. More organic silhouette. View our Danish oval dining table page.
  • Round — no corners, cozy and democratic. A round Fenix dining table in matte black is a timeless design object.

Bases for a Fenix Dining Table

The base determines the character of the table. Popular combinations with Fenix:

  • Matte black steel frame — completely black dining table. Robust, sleek, popular in industrial and modern design.
  • Oak wooden legs — warm contrast with a black or dark Fenix top. Most requested combination.
  • Walnut wooden legs — premium combination, luxurious and warm.
  • / gold colored steel — luxurious accent, perfect with Fenix green or black.
  • White powder-coated steel — light and fresh, ideal with Fenix white or beige.

The 3D configurator shows you immediately what each combination looks like — choose color, shape, and base and adjust everything to your liking.

Maintenance of a Fenix Dining Table

Fenix is exceptionally easy to maintain:

  • Wipe with a slightly damp microfiber cloth — always gives a perfect result.
  • Stubborn stains: mild soap on a damp cloth, then wipe dry.
  • Small scratches: iron on low setting (120-130°C), press briefly on the scratch. Scratch disappears.
  • No abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals — these can damage the nano-coating.

Fenix vs. HPL: What's the Difference?

Fenix and HPL are often mentioned in the same breath, but are fundamentally different:

  • Mattness — Fenix is deeper matte than standard HPL. It absorbs more light and feels velvety softer.
  • Thermal repair — only Fenix has this property. Standard HPL does not.
  • Anti-fingerprint — Fenix scores significantly better here than most HPL variants.
  • Price — Fenix is premium priced. HPL is cheaper but also less exclusive in appearance and use.

4 people 140 cm 160 cm
6 people 180 cm 200 cm
8 people 220 cm 240 cm
10 people 260 cm 280-300 cm
  • Space around the table: allow at least 90 cm of free walking space on all sides — 75 cm is the absolute minimum.
  • Standard table height: 75-78 cm. Combine with chairs of 43-47 cm seat height.
  • Width: minimum 80 cm for comfortable seating opposite each other, 90-100 cm is ideal.
  • Per person: allow 60-70 cm of table length per person — 70 cm provides elbow room.
Is a Fenix dining table more expensive than a wooden dining table?

Comparably priced. A Fenix top on a wooden base is in the same price range as a solid wood dining table. The added value lies in its technical properties: scratch repair, anti-fingerprint, heat resistance.

Can I use a Fenix dining table outdoors?

No. Fenix is an indoor material. Prolonged outdoor use can damage the bonding and cause colors to fade.

Is Fenix also available in wood-look?

Yes. The full Fenix range also includes veneer-look and wood-structure colors. Contact us for available options.

Can I combine Fenix with a wooden edge?

Yes. A Fenix top with a solid wood edge adds warmth and depth to the sleekness of Fenix. Popular combinations include matte black Fenix with an oak edge. Ask about the possibilities via the configurator or our contact form.

What is the delivery time for a Fenix dining table?

Usually 4 to 6 weeks. Fenix tops are cut and finished to size, and the base is produced to order. After ordering, you will receive a confirmation with the expected delivery date.

Is the table delivered assembled?

Yes. Our delivery personnel will assemble the table immediately upon delivery. You can also determine the exact placement of the base at that time. No hassle with screws or flat-pack kits.

How much warranty do I get on a Fenix dining table?

All tables from Industrial Home come with a manufacturer's warranty. Do you have a specific question about the warranty conditions? Contact us – we're happy to help.
