The Look of Marble — Without the Maintenance

Real marble is beautiful, but also demanding. It is naturally porous, meaning red wine, coffee, or lemon juice can leave stains. Marble is also relatively soft — a pan or cutlery can cause scratches. And a real marble tabletop can easily weigh 80–120 kg, making delivery and placement difficult.

Our marble dining tables are made of ceramic with a photorealistic marble look. Ceramic is fired at high temperatures and has a closed surface that does not absorb liquids. The result: a tabletop that looks identical to real marble, but lasts for years without any special maintenance. Simply wipe it down with a damp cloth — that's all.

Furthermore, a ceramic tabletop is heat-resistant up to over 200°C, allowing you to place a hot pan or oven dish directly on the surface. Something that is strongly advised against with real marble — and with most other tabletops.

Our marble dining tables are made of ceramic with a marble look — and ceramic is extremely low-maintenance. The surface is non-porous, so stains from wine, coffee, or grease can be easily wiped away. Simply wiping with a damp cloth is sufficient. Real marble tables are indeed high-maintenance and require periodic sealing.

Real marble is a natural stone that is porous, prone to stains, and scratches easily. Ceramic is a manufactured material with a closed surface that is scratch-resistant, heat-resistant, and stain-resistant.
