The Benefits of an Extendable Round Table
An extendable round table is ideal for people with limited dining space who still want flexibility. In its basic position, the table fits into a compact dining room or open kitchen. Extended, it provides space for extra guests — without having to add a second table or permanently keep a larger table in the room.

How Does the Extension Mechanism Work?
The mechanism of an extendable round table is simple: the two halves of the tabletop slide apart via rails in the base. Between them, a stored extension leaf automatically folds up or a separate extension is placed.
At Industrial Home, we use a butterfly extension mechanism: the insert leaf is hidden under the tabletop and folds up when extended. You don't need any loose leaves and the table can be extended in 30 seconds. The mechanism is equipped with a soft brake, so the leaf moves smoothly and silently.
