Japandi TV Furniture — Minimalism with Warmth

A Japandi TV cabinet is more than just a place to put your television. In a Japandi interior, it's a design statement — low to the ground, made of warm solid wood, with flowing lines and no unnecessary frills. The Japandi style combines Japanese minimalism with Scandinavian warmth: wood you can feel, shapes that mimic nature, and a calming presence that makes the screen disappear completely when the TV is off. At Industrial Home, you'll find TV furniture that perfectly suits a Japandi living room.

Our TV cabinets are also available in mango wood and oak — the two materials that best suit the Japandi style. To the collection →

What makes a TV cabinet "Japandi"?

Not every TV cabinet is suitable for a Japandi interior. The characteristics of a true Japandi TV cabinet:

  • Low profile — a Japandi TV cabinet stands low to the ground, often on slender legs. This gives the living room air and tranquility
  • Warm solid wood — oak or mango wood, visible grain, honest material. No gloss, no thick layers of lacquer
  • Clean lines — no excessive ornamentation. Everything has a function
  • Organic details — gently rounded corners, a handle recessed into the wood
  • Natural color palette — light oak, warm brown mango wood, or a combination with matte black metal

Japandi Living Room: How to combine the TV cabinet?

Color palette: warm & neutral

Choose a warm, neutral shade for the wall behind the TV cabinet — soft beige, warm light gray, or an earthy tone like terracotta. White walls also work, but opt for a warm white, not a cool white.

Lighting: indirect and atmospheric

Japandi interiors avoid harsh spotlights. Choose indirect floor lamps or wall lights next to the TV cabinet. A warm light color (2700–3000K) enhances the Japandi atmosphere.

Accessories: less is more

Place a maximum of 2 to 3 objects on the TV cabinet. Think of a small ceramic
