L-shaped arrangement, curved bench or two separate benches?
An L-shaped arrangement uses two adjacent sides of the table. A curved bench follows a round or oval outline. Two separate benches give you more freedom to change the layout later, but do not automatically form a comfortable continuous corner.
With all options, consider the inside corner, doors and windows, and the room needed to move in. A rounded backrest does not make a bench suitable for every round table. View the combination from above.
Measure the table and circulation space first
Measure the length of the sides you want to use with a bench. Allow for table legs, armrests on individual chairs and the space needed to get up from the bench. Mark the bench and table on the floor before choosing a size. Usable seat length matters more than the outer dimension alone.

A rectangular table often aligns naturally with a long, straight bench side. With an oval table, the distances change at the rounded ends. Compare your table with rectangular dining tables and oval dining tables. Check the overall dimensions and the space around the base.

Upholstery and everyday use
Choose upholstery based on use, colour and the care advice for the selected version. Also check whether the inner seats are easy to reach. Fabric, faux leather and other upholstery may have different cleaning instructions; do not experiment with an arbitrary cleaning product.

Record your preferred layout in a top view and show the long side, short side and access point. Simply saying “left” or “right” can be unclear because the viewpoint may differ.
Is there a minimum size for every corner bench?
No, that depends on the model and the table. The corner shape and usable seat depth vary. Have your preferred compact size assessed first.
What information is needed for sizing advice?
