White Dining Table - Light, Fresh & Made to Measure
White Dining Table — Fresh & Timeless in Your Dining Room
A white dining table brings light, freshness, and timelessness to the dining room. White is one of the most universal colors for furniture: it works in a small space to make it visually larger, it combines with almost any color palette for chairs and walls, and it fits into Scandinavian, modern, or classic interiors. At Industrial Home, you'll find white dining tables in white HPL, white Fenix, white ceramic, and white lacquered wood, all available for custom order.
Submitting your own design is always welcome. Do you have a specific white (warm white, cool white, matte white, glossy white) in mind? Or a specific size that is not in our standard range? We will make it for you.
Materials for a White Dining Table
White HPL
HPL (High Pressure Laminate) in white is the most popular option for a white dining table. The surface is scratch-resistant, stain-resistant, and easy to clean with a damp cloth. Available in matte white (warm or cool), textured white, and high-gloss white. HPL is the most practical choice for families with children: coffee stains, sauce stains, and pen marks on white HPL are easy to remove without leaving traces.
White Fenix
Fenix is a premium HPL variant with an exceptionally matte, silky-soft surface. The special nanostructure of Fenix gives the material its unique soft touch and a warm-matte appearance that is slightly different from standard HPL. A particular advantage of Fenix: minor scratches self-heal with heat (iron or hairdryer). White Fenix is the most exclusive option for a white dining table.
White Ceramic
A white ceramic dining table has a porcelain look that is modern and luxurious. Ceramic is heat-resistant (hot pans can be placed directly on the table), scratch-free, and water-resistant. Popular white ceramic variants: pure white, marble-look white with gray veins, and bouclé-look. Ceramic is the most low-maintenance material of all, but also the heaviest.
White Lacquered Wood
Solid wood in a white lacquered finish gives a table a warm, organic base with the light color of white. The wood structure is still slightly palpable under the lacquer, providing a subtle texture. This type of table fits into a rural or classic interior. Please note: white lacquer is more vulnerable than HPL and can discolour or damage with intensive use.
Styles for a White Dining Table
Scandinavian
The white dining table is at home in a Scandinavian interior. Combine a white table with natural wooden chairs, a neutral beige or gray background, minimalist lamps, and a wool rug. Simplicity and the light color palette are characteristic of the Scandinavian style, and the white dining table is the centerpiece of that composition.
Modern
In a modern interior, a white dining table acts as a sleek, clean statement. Choose a table with thin, metal legs for a light look, or a sleek ceramic white table on a black or white frame. Combine with colored chairs for contrast.
Rural / Classic
A white lacquered wooden table fits perfectly in a rural or classic interior. Combine with chairs in natural wood or white rattan, a jute rug, and wooden accessories on the table.
Combinations with Chairs
A white dining table is the perfect neutral canvas for colored or special chairs. Popular combinations:
- White table + dark wooden chairs — warm contrast
- White table + colored velvet chairs (mustard, green, blue) — cheerful and personal
- White table + transparent Kartell-like chairs — light and modern
- White table + metal industrial chairs — modern industrial
Maintenance of a White Dining Table
Maintenance is the most frequently asked question about white dining tables. In practice, it's not so bad:
- HPL and Fenix: easy to clean with a damp cloth. No special cleaning agents needed. Indestructible with daily use.
- Ceramic: clean with water, no special agents needed. Heat-resistant and scratch-free.
- White lacquered wood: handle with care. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents and abrasive cloths. If damaged, the lacquer can be touched up locally.
Tip: a white table looks cleaner if you wipe it regularly (weekly), even if there are no visible stains. This prevents a gray discoloration due to accumulated dust.
Frequently Asked Questions about White Dining Tables
- Is a white dining table practical with children?
- White HPL and white ceramic are excellent for families with children: scratch-resistant, stain-resistant, and easy to clean. White lacquered wood is a bit more fragile. If you have children, choose HPL or ceramic for the most practical option.
- What color chairs best combine with a white dining table?
- A white dining table combines with almost anything. Dark wooden chairs create a warm contrast. Colored velvet chairs add personality and cheerfulness. Neutral light gray or beige chairs create a calm ensemble. Choose based on the other colors in your dining room.
- Does a white dining table yellow?
- White HPL and white ceramic do not yellow with normal use. White lacquered wood can discolour slightly over the years, especially in areas exposed to direct sunlight. White Fenix is also color-stable over the years. For the most color-fast option, choose HPL or ceramic.
- Can I have a white dining table custom-made?
- Yes. At Industrial Home, all sizes are possible: from compact 120 x 80 cm for 4 people to 300 x 100 cm for 10 people. Special shapes (oval, round) are also available. Send us your desired size, and we will produce the table to measure.
- What does a white dining table cost at Industrial Home?
- A white dining table in HPL (180 x 90 cm) starts from approximately €599. Fenix and ceramic are higher in price. Customization is always possible; request a no-obligation quote.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which material is best for a white dining table?
HPL Fenix white is the most low-maintenance choice: scratch-free, anti-fingerprint, and super matte. Lacquered MDF is cheaper but more prone to scratches. White lacquered solid wood is the warmest but the most sensitive to maintenance.
How do I keep a white dining table clean?
Wipe daily with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Blot wine or coffee stains immediately — do not rub. HPL and ceramic are the easiest to keep clean.
Does a white dining table quickly turn yellow?
Lacquered MDF and certain HPL types can yellow over time with intensive UV exposure. Fenix HPL and ceramic are colorfast — they remain white. Do not place the table in direct sunlight.
What chairs go well with a white dining table?
White on white for a clean look, black chairs for graphic contrast, natural wooden chairs for warmth. Avoid beige/cream — it looks dirty next to white.
Is a white dining table suitable for families with children?
Absolutely — choose ceramic or HPL Fenix, which are stain-resistant. Avoid lacquered wood, which scratches easily. White tables are easier to keep clean than dark ones because stains are more visible and are addressed immediately.
How large should a white dining table be for 6 people?
At least 160×85 cm for 6 people. If you want more comfortable seating, choose 180×90 cm. An extendable version of 140 cm (extending to 180 cm) is also a good option.
