White Sideboard - Light & Timeless
White Sideboard — Fresh Storage for Your Living Room
A white sideboard is the perfect piece of furniture for those who want to combine space and style. White is timeless, airy, and fits into almost any interior style. Whether you have a modern living room, a Scandinavian interior, or a rural ambiance — a white sideboard brings peace and structure. At Industrial Home, we custom-make white sideboards in the size, material, and finish that perfectly suit your living room.
Why choose a white sideboard?
White has a special magic in interior design. It reflects light, makes the room appear larger, and gives a tidy, fresh look. A white sideboard is both functional (storage for crockery, blankets, electronics) and decorative (a beautiful piece of furniture to display items). The color white ensures that the furniture is not dominant — it adds without overpowering.
- Airy and spacious — White doesn't draw attention but enhances the feeling of space.
- Versatile combinations — Goes with wood, black, gray, color — practically anything.
- Timeless — White never goes out of style. It will still fit decades later.
- Fresh and tidy — White conveys a sense of cleanliness and calm.
Materials for a white sideboard
HPL White
HPL is our most requested option for white sideboards. It is a hard, scratch-resistant board with a smooth white finish. Resistant to the daily demands of a sideboard: placing crockery, sliding drawers, touch. Colorfast and easy to clean. Available in pure white, warm white, and off-white.
Lacquered MDF — White
Sprayed MDF provides the sleekest, flattest result. No visible wood grain, just a smooth, even lacquer surface. Choose matte (chalk matte), satin gloss, or high gloss. Any RAL color is possible — from pure white (RAL 9010) to warm white (RAL 9001) or off-white (RAL 9016). Ideal for sleek modern or design interiors.
White Oak
White stained or limed oak is a refined choice. You see the beautiful wood grain of the oak, but in a white or off-white tint. This adds warmth and character, while the light color still maintains the airiness of white. Popular in Scandinavian and bohemian interiors.
Styles of white sideboard
Modern white sideboard
Clean lines, flat doors without ornaments, hidden handles or push-to-open system. HPL or high-gloss sprayed MDF. This type of sideboard fits perfectly in a contemporary living room with sleek furniture and a neutral color palette.
Scandinavian white sideboard
White stained oak or warm white HPL, combined with wooden legs in natural or light oak. Light, organic appearance. Beautiful with a scarf or plant on top as decoration.
Rural white sideboard
Chalk matte sprayed white, with subtle decorative milling or panel on the doors. Warm white or cream white tint. Combines beautifully with wicker, rattan, herbs, and pottery in a rural or cottage home.
Industrial white sideboard
White HPL or lacquered top combined with black steel legs or frame. The contrast between white and black steel is powerful and looks modern-industrial. Perfect if you also have other industrial furniture, such as a steel dining table or industrial side table.
Sizes of white sideboard
White sideboards come in all sorts of sizes. At Industrial Home, the size is completely customizable:
- Narrow (80–100 cm wide) — For smaller living rooms or as an addition next to a TV cabinet.
- Standard (120–160 cm wide) — The most frequently ordered width. Fits in most living rooms along a wall.
- Wide (160–220+ cm wide) — Large white sideboard for spacious living rooms or as a centerpiece of a wall.
- Height — Standard sideboards are 75–85 cm high. Taller cabinets (>100 cm) are also possible.
The depth is usually 40–50 cm, depending on the type of drawers or doors.

Frequently asked questions
Does a white sideboard fade quickly?
Not if you choose HPL or high-quality lacquer paint. We work exclusively with professional materials that are UV-resistant and do not yellow quickly. Normal use is not a problem at all.
Which white best matches my white wall?
Walls are often painted in warm white or off-white. We can send you a sample of our material so you can compare it at home. Or give us the paint brand and color code — we will match it.
Can a white sideboard also serve as a bedroom dresser?
Certainly. White sideboards are popular in bedrooms, especially in combination with white or light bedside tables. See our bedroom dresser page for more information.
Can I submit my own design?
Yes, that is our specialty. Send a sketch, photo, or dimensioned drawing and we will get to work. No extra charge for custom work — that is our expertise.
How long does delivery of a custom white sideboard take?
On average 4–6 weeks after confirmation of the design and deposit. We will actively keep you informed of the progress.
Frequently Asked Questions
What material is best for a white sideboard?
HPL white is scratch-resistant and low-maintenance. Lacquered MDF provides a smoother surface but is more delicate.
Does a white sideboard yellow quickly?
Choose HPL or UV-resistant lacquer. Avoid direct sun exposure.
Does a white sideboard suit a rustic bedroom?
Perfect — combine with decorative fronts, ornamental panels, and natural wood flooring.
Which handles go well with a white sideboard?
Gold/brass for a warm vintage effect. Black steel handles for a modern contrast. Or choose push-to-open for a completely handleless look.
How to clean?
Damp cloth with mild detergent. Dab spills immediately.
Can a white sideboard also be placed in the living room?
Yes — as an accent cabinet or storage unit. Ensure the style matches the rest of the room.
