Advantages of a Floating TV Unit

A floating TV unit offers several practical and aesthetic advantages over a floor-standing model:

  • Spacious effect: the free floor space under the unit makes the room feel larger and airier
  • Easy to clean: vacuuming and mopping underneath the unit is simple
  • Modern design: clean lines, no visible legs
  • Optimal viewing height: the unit hangs at your desired height
  • No child's fingerprints: at a higher height, out of reach of small children
  • Customization: from 120 to 300 cm wide, in your material and color

Wall Mounting

A floating TV unit is attached to the wall using a sturdy wall profile or direct screw connection. This may sound technical, but installation is simpler than it seems. We always provide the necessary mounting materials. For a masonry wall, a hammer drill and plugs are sufficient; for a plasterboard wall, wall anchors are recommended.

The ideal mounting height for a floating TV unit is such that the TV screen is at eye level when you are seated. This is typically 40–60 cm from the floor to the bottom of the unit, depending on your TV size and seating position.

Materials for Floating TV Units

Oak

A floating oak TV unit gives the living room a warm, natural look. Available in natural, white-stained, or natural oak. Fits both Scandinavian and modern interiors.

HPL

HPL (High-Pressure Laminate) is robust, scratch-resistant, and available in almost any color and texture. From wood look to concrete grey — HPL provides the look you want but is much lower maintenance than solid wood.

Mango Wood

A floating mango wood TV unit has an organic, warm character. The unique grain of each piece of mango wood makes every unit unique. Popular in boho and Japandi interiors.

Matte Black

A floating matte black HPL or MDF TV unit is a timeless design statement. Combines with a metal TV console, black wall frames, and light floors for a moody, modern interior.
