What size oval dining table for 4 people?

With an oval dining table, it's not just about length, but also width. A table that is too narrow feels cramped, while one that is too wide makes it difficult to connect with others. These are the common sizes:

Compact oval dining table: a good idea?

A 140 cm table is compact but works perfectly for 4 people without armrest chairs. Keep in mind that you have less space at the short end of an oval table than in the middle. For a table of 160 cm or longer, a chair will also fit at the ends.

Oak wood - timeless and strong

Solid oak is by far the most popular. The grain gives each table its own character, and oak becomes more beautiful with age. You choose the color yourself: from light natural to dark smoked. It pairs well with both steel and wooden bases.

Fenix - scratch-resistant and matte

Fenix is ideal if you have children or expect intensive use. The material is scratch-resistant, matte fingerprints disappear on their own, and small scratches can be warmed away with a cloth. Available in multiple colors.

Ceramic - low maintenance

Ceramic has the look of natural or concrete but is much easier to keep clean. Moisture, stains, and heat do not affect it. Ideal for a family or if you do a lot of cooking near the table.

Walnut - warm and luxurious

Walnut has a dark, rich grain that looks very exclusive. A smaller oval walnut dining table for 4 people immediately gives a dining room a luxurious look.

How much space do you need?

Keep at least 75 cm clear around the table. This allows chairs to be pulled back and provides comfortable walking space. In a narrow room, it is sometimes smarter to place the table closer to a wall and use a bench on that side instead of chairs.

If you always dine with four people and have chairs without armrests, 140 cm is perfectly sufficient. If you sometimes want to add an extra chair or use chairs with armrests, choose 160 cm. That extra 20 cm makes the difference between cramped and comfortable.

Absolutely. A 140 cm oval table has no sharp corners, allowing you to utilize the surrounding walking space better than with a rectangular table. The soft shape also visually creates more space.

What are the delivery times?
