HPL vs. other custom materials
When you're looking for a new dining table that is both functional and stylish, custom HPL (High Pressure Laminate) and solid oak are good options. However, HPL often turns out to be cheaper than solid oak, especially for large surfaces like dining tables. Moreover, maintaining an HPL table is much easier; stains and scratches can be easily removed without affecting its structure.
Comparing HPL with custom ceramic also shows differences that favour HPL. Ceramic dining tables can be beautiful, but they are heavier and more fragile than their HPL equivalents. Another material often compared to HPL is custom Fenix. Although Fenix is known for its luxurious touch and unique properties, HPL offers a much wider variety of decor variations. Furthermore, Fenix feels slightly softer than the robust surface of HPL.

Delivery time for custom HPL: 4-8 weeks. HPL processing requires precise CNC milling.
Can I order an organic shape (pebble, cloud) in HPL?
Yes — HPL can be milled into any shape: rectangular, oval, pebble-shaped, or cloud-shaped. This is one of the great advantages of HPL over solid wood.
Is a custom HPL dining table more expensive than a standard model?
10-25% more expensive. You pay for the exact size and colour combination.
How do I maintain a custom HPL dining table?
Damp cloth, mild detergent. No abrasive cleaners. For Fenix: micro-scratches disappear with heat (hair dryer).
