At Industrial Home, you'll find over 120 pendant lights in more than 15 families, from compact and affordable to large and monumental.

Rule of thumb: hang the bottom of the lamp 70-80 cm above the tabletop. In the living room, 200-210 cm above the floor.

Buying guide: choosing the right lamp

  • Pendant light above dining table: bottom of the lamp 65-75 cm above the tabletop. For ceilings higher than 260 cm: adjust proportionally.
  • Lumen guideline for dining room: 300-500 lumens per m² for ambient lighting, 500-750 lm/m² for functional lighting.
  • Color temperature: 2700-3000K (warm white) for dining room and living room. 4000K+ (cool white) for workspaces.
  • Diameter of pendant light vs. table: 1 lamp: diameter = 1/3 table length. 3 small lamps above a long table: approx. 20-25 cm diameter each.
  • Floor lamp: height 140-180 cm, shade at eye level when seated (approx. 120-130 cm) or above.
At what height should I hang a pendant light above the dining table?

70-80 cm above the tabletop. For a ceiling of 2.50 m, that's approximately 170 cm above the floor.

How many light points do I need?

For a 180 cm dining table: 3-6 light points or 1 large globe. Larger spaces: 7+ light points via a cluster.

Are the pendant lights dimmable?

Dimmable with a dimmable LED lamp + dimmer switch. Check each model to see if the fitting is dimmable.
