Design Your Own Oak Table - Custom Design

Design Your Own Oak Table — Configure in 3D

Designing your own oak table used to be only for those who knew a furniture maker or were willing to invest a lot of time specifying their wishes. At Industrial Home, that's a thing of the past. With our 3D configurator, you can design your own oak table step by step, see it live in three dimensions, and receive the price instantly. Custom-made, without the complications. It perfectly fits the current Japandi and slow living trends — warm materials such as oak and smoked oak are central to today's interior.

Step by step — the 3D configurator

Step 1: Choose the shape

Start with the basic shape of your oak table. You can choose from:

  • Rectangular — the most universal shape, fits in almost any room
  • Square — for an intimate setup or smaller dining rooms
  • Oval — soft lines, friendly for small spaces, no sharp corners
  • Organic / live edge — the natural tree edge as a design element

Each shape has its own character and suits different interiors. The configurator immediately shows what the chosen shape looks like.

Step 2: Set the dimensions

This is the heart of customization. Enter the exact length, width, and height you desire. No standard sizes you have to accept — you decide. Do you want a table of 194 × 92 cm because it fits perfectly in your dining room with an adjacent cabinet? You can. Do you want a height of 78 cm instead of the standard 75 cm? No problem. The configurator accepts all dimensions.

Step 3: Choose the thickness

The thickness of the oak top determines the visual weight and durability:

  • 2.5–3 cm — Slender, lighter, more modern look
  • 4 cm — The most commonly ordered thickness. Robust but not excessive
  • 5–6 cm — Very imposing, for those who want a real statement table

Step 4: Choose the finish

Oak can be finished in dozens of ways. In the configurator, you can choose from:

  • Natural oiled finish
  • Oiled + stained (various colors: light gray, dark brown, black, cognac, etc.)
  • Natural oak
  • Matte lacquered
  • Soaped (light, Scandinavian look)

The 3D viewer immediately adjusts the color and texture of the top, so you see a realistic representation.

Step 5: Choose the base

The base determines the style of the table. You configure:

  • Material — steel (powder-coated black, white, stainless) or wood (oak, walnut)
  • Type — square legs, round legs, X-leg, hairpin, wooden trestles
  • Color — for steel: black, white, gray, stainless; for wood: natural, stained

The 3D viewer shows the combination of top and base in real-time. This way, you immediately see if it fits.

Step 6: Live price calculation

As you configure, the tool continuously calculates the price. No hidden costs, no surprise prices afterward. You see exactly what your oak table costs based on the options you choose. Do you want to swap a more expensive base for a cheaper option? The price adjusts immediately.

Advantages of custom-made vs. standard oak table

Standard tables from a catalog are made in standard sizes for an average room. The chance that your room, your sofa, your kitchen island precisely require a standard size is small. Customization offers:

  • Perfect fit — the table fits precisely into the available space
  • Unique design — no one else has the exact same table
  • Higher quality — solid wood, made by craftsmen, not an assembly product
  • Longer lifespan — a well-made solid oak table lasts 30–50 years
  • Own design possible — do you have a drawing or photo of a table you want? Upload it and we will build it

Submit your own design

In addition to the configurator, you can also submit your own design. Do you have a sketch, a drawing, or a photo of a table you've seen? Send it to us. Our furniture makers will review it and provide a quote. This way, you can have a table built that perfectly matches your vision — even if it falls outside the standard options of the configurator.
